There’s a time and hotel for everything.

Perhaps because we have been so used to staying at resorts/hotels that were destinations in their own right, there are times when we still select hotels with a lot more bells and whisles that we can even take advantage of during several stays.

During the last few weeks, we have stayed at hotels with limited features and we have wondered why pay more? Why pay for a Ritz-Carlton when a SpringHill will do? Each case is different, however we can never forget our priorities are as well as the value that we get.

Smarter Travel has a good article on how to choose a hotel. Whichever strategy you decide to use just remember asking: does it cover my needs? Am I paying for things I won’t use?
