Sometimes we try to stay away from hotel restaurants. They might be overpriced and simply not so good in general. We were pleasantly surprised by Trenasse, located on the first floor of the Intercontinental Hotel in New Orleans. We loved this place so much that our foodie-in-chief ate there 4 times! I ate there 3 times and the next time I’m in NOLA I’ll be definitely coming back. My favorite plate was the short ribs, but the fish of the day was superb! The steak while very good was not at the same level of those other 2 meals.

It’s no secret that there are many great restaurants in NOLA. Rebirth was also very good. I had great Southern style fried chicken.

Now the hotel food at the conference, that was a very different story, which lived up to the bad hotel food reputation!
